Named – Sointu Kimono Tee

I made my first spring top and i LOVE it!

The pattern is the Sointu Kinomo Tee from Named Clothing. Its been in my coIlection for a while and I’ve been waiting for the perfect fabric to come along. The fabric is a scuba style jersey that i picked up during Sewbrum 2016 at the Birmingham rag market. At the time, I had no pattern in mind but was drawn to the print, so pretty.

I sewed up a size 8/10 based on the finished measurements chart and its a perfect fit for me. I really like the length and can see this being a good spring/summer staple. The only adjustment i made was raising the armholes by 3 inches – I wanted a more fitted look for the sleeves and i’m really pleased with the final look.

It sewed almost entirely on the overlocker except for the hem, belt and neckline – a quick easy sew. The top is super comfy to wear, and i can definitely see more of these in my wardrobe. Isn’t it great when you can make and wear the item the very same day?
